Mountain Challenges

Mountain Challenges take around 6 hours and are for a minimum group size of 4, up to a maximum 10 people. These hikes provide an opportunity to climb some of the UK's most popular mountains in a relaxed group setting and are solo hiker friendly.

Helvellyn Via Striding Edge

Helvellyn sits in between the lakes of Thirlmere and Ullswater in the eastern fells of the lake district and is the highest point of the Helvellyn range at 950m. While this is actually the third highest mountain in England it is arguably the most beautiful. The position of the mountain allows for spectacular 360 degree views of the lake district. The view from the summit on a clear day is spectacular. Its important to note that the route to the summit traverses the iconic grade 1 scramble Striding edge. While previous scrambling experience isn't essential, a good head for heights definitely is and we will be on hand to safely guide you through the experience one step at a time.
